Eat The Elephant is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN 33-4700167). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law — and they go to work quickly:

Funds one research scholarship — travel, housing, meals, and transit so a student can do community-based fieldwork in person.

The typical budget of one L.E.A.D. Fellow's community project in Lubao — a clinic, a garden, a lending library of seeds, a micro-loan fund.

Supports needs assessments, action plans, and the local partnerships that turn student research into finished community projects.

Student fellows also raise funds for their own projects as a core part of the Fellowship — if a fellow sent you their sponsorship page, giving there counts the same and encourages a young researcher directly.
